(ABC 6 News) — A Steele County lettuce provider, Revol Greens MN, LLC, has announced it will be closing this fall if it is not sold or funded. In a notice filed on Thursday with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), Revol Greens will lay off about 89 people as its Medford facility may permanently close. The notice said Revol Greens will have to sell the company or secure funding by Oct. 4. Revol Greens’ website says the company opened in 2017 with its first greenhouse opening in Minnesota. Operations remain ongoing, and Revol Greens continues to serve customers and maintain supply while working through challenges affecting the broader leafy greens market.
