(ABC 6 News) — The trend of dirty sodas is fizzing up around the nation, and one Rochester teacher is capitalizing on it as a way to stay connected with her former students. Dirty sodas are a mix of soda, flavored syrups, and creamer, and Nicole Huset, a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Montessori at Franklin Elementary School, decided to open her own business, Northern Fizz, since she is off during the summers. Huset said she chose dirty sodas because of the current popularity and as a chance to stay in touch with the students she has taught. “Well I tell my kids when they leave me after fifth grade that I demand an invite to their grad party. But I love coming back and seeing my kids after they graduate, see what they’re doing, it’s so rewarding,” she said.
