Fischer is a member of the Senate Armed Services CommitteeFischer was an original cosponsor for the bill when the late Sen. Lindsey Graham introduced the legislation. The Sanctioning Russia Act will pressure the world’s largest purchasers of Russian energy to reduce their dependence on Moscow. The bill will impose sanctions, tariffs and prohibitions to cut off revenue for Russia’s war with Ukraine.
