A remake of the Spanish-language film The People Upstairs, The Invite has become a surprise box office hit that is finally making its way to streaming. When to Stream is reporting that The Invite will be available for rental and purchase on digital platforms starting Aug. 11, 2026. No word on when The Invite will stream on HBO Max as part of A24's deal with the platform. It was an investment that paid off, as The Invite has grossed $22.8 million domestically and $40.1 million worldwide. While that certainly helped the movie at the box office, it doesn't mean it will lose any of its charm when it moves to streaming.
