Kolar: The grand public convention in Malur, postponed due to the recent Cabinet expansion, will now be held on August 10, with Chief Minister D.K.
Shivakumar set to make his first official visit to Kolar district after assuming office.
Shivakumar, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara and several Cabinet ministers will participate in the programme, during which development projects worth nearly Rs.
The convention will also feature the distribution of benefits to 28,240 beneficiaries from Malur taluk under various government welfare schemes.
Congress leaders believe the event will highlight the government’s development agenda while demonstrating the party’s organisational strength in Kolar, Chikkaballapur and Bengaluru Rural districts.
