MOORHEAD — A grass fire Friday morning, Aug. 7, was a reminder of dry conditions in the area. Firefighters from Moorhead and Dilworth were called to Gooseberry Park just after 8 a.m.ADVERTISEMENTWhen crews arrived, smoke was coming out of the trees along the river. Firefighters discovered a campfire at a homeless camp had spread to some dry brush about 15 feet away. The Dilworth Fire Department helped put out the fire. The Moorhead Forestry Department also helped by chopping up trees.
