Local Jewish leaders, journalists team up to launch Seattle area’s only Jewish publication

Early next year, these organizers plan to launch The Jewish Sound, a digital-first publication that will operate as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Her daughter, who is 31, has been begging her to have a matchmaker column in the new publication, Blankinship said.
When searching for talent to write for the publication, Blankinship is “more interested in talent than I am in pedigree,” she said.
Kalish said she unabashedly evangelizes about the publication everywhere — in the pews of local synagogues and in line at the local Jewish film festival.
