The South Lakes Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) shared the update on Friday morning (August 7) after the sighting was reported at around 9pm on Thursday, August 6. The snake was believed to have been seen in the area of Leighton Beck Road, Slack Head, to the south of Milnthorpe. In a later update, police confirmed that the snake had been captured safely. "If you do see what you believe to be the snake, please report it to us on 101. If there is an immediate risk to life or someone is in immediate danger, call 999."
