Eskdale Village Hall in Eskdale Green will host the weekend on August 22 and 23 with a packed programme of presentations and activities as well as informative displays.
Attendees will get the chance to learn about archaeological finds in the area; the work of the late legendary historian Mary Fair, Muncaster Castle, Eskdale Mill and the Eskdale Mines.
The event runs from 10am until 4pm and parking will be available at the Outward Bound Centre.
Louise Green, of the Lakeland Dialect Society, will give an opening welcome in the local dialect at 10.15am on Saturday.
An information desk will be ran where guests can find out more about the dialect society.
