Planned maintenance works will take place overnight, from 7pm until 6am between September 2, 2026 and September 8, 2026. The restrictions will affect the westbound carriageway of the A55, starting in Cheshire West and Chester, and continuing to the Welsh border. A 50mph limit will be imposed between 1,400 metres and 2,500 metres west of the Posthouse Roundabout Western Bridge. National Highways said the order aims to enable cyclical maintenance works to be carried out in safety. Drivers using the affected stretch are advised to remain vigilant for the updated signage and temporary limits throughout the works.
