NEW YORK — This week, 25 new adult-use cannabis licenses were approved by the New York State Cannabis Control Board. After the 25 licenses were approved, the total number of statewide adult-use cannabis licenses increased to 2,322. “As New York’s cannabis market continues to mature, the Board remains focused on building a regulatory framework that is transparent, predictable, and responsive to the needs of both industry and communities,” said Jessica García, Chair of the Cannabis Control Board. Other than the license approvals, the control board approved 78 adult-use license renewals, 25 license amendments, two application denials, and one processor-cultivator amendment, among other updates.
