A large vacant restaurant on the cusp of Little Italy is headed to auction. On-site bidding for the former Milan Restaurant at 1000 Eastern Ave. is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. on Aug. 20. It also ends a nearly two-year legal skirmish between the Baltimore City Department of Housing and Community Development and the property’s owner, HSN LLC, over the former restaurant’s fate. A Baltimore City District Court judge ordered the auction after Baltimore housing officials sought appointment of a vacant building receiver in 2024.
