Numan Acar Joins Universal Pictures’ ‘The Mummy’ As Franchise Veterans Kevin J. O’Connor And Oded Fehr Secure Returns

Both O’Connor and Fehr originated their roles in Stephen Sommers’ 1999 action-adventure feature The Mummy. O’Connor portrayed Beni Gabor, a treacherous former French Foreign Legion soldier who became a servant to the resurrected high priest Imhotep. Fehr played Medjai chieftain Ardeth Bay, a role he subsequently reprised in 2001’s The Mummy Returns. Acar’s specific role in the project has not yet been disclosed by the studio. Universal Executive Vice President of Production Development Jay Polidoro and Director of Production Development Jacqueline Garell are supervising the feature for the studio.
