Residents reported seeing a closure on the East Lancs from the area of Golborne Island to Haydock Island. The collision on, Thursday evening, took place on the East Lancs, and involved a motorcyclist. The casualty is in a stable condition, a spokesman added. A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "We were called following reports of a motorcyclist having been involved in a road traffic collision. "The rider remains in a stable condition but has sustained serious injuries.
