Work is due to start this summer on a £3.434 million improvement scheme at Peasley Cross Roundabout, one of the borough’s busiest junctions. Councillor Gary Edgerton, St Helens Borough Council’s cabinet member for business, highways, and transport, said: "This is a significant investment in one of the borough's most important transport corridors. It currently limits access between the town centre and destinations such as St Helens Retail Park, the BrewDog Stadium, and nearby employment sites. St Helens Borough Council has emphasised that while roadworks will cause some disruption, the upgrades are necessary to support economic growth and encourage more sustainable travel options.
