Lucas G. Lauffenburger, 46, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly after an undiagnosed illness on Friday, July 31, 2026. He is the son of the late Bob Lauffenburger and is survived by his mom, Ginny Lauffenburger (Ginegaw) and brother, Lance Lauffenburger (Kristi), and his nephews Brady and Parks. He was a member of the Ronald McDonald Greater Rochester High School All Star Game, which showcased the top players in basketball in that area. In high school a “Team of One” was created so Luke could compete with other high school teams. Luke’s dad became ill in 2013 with Parkinson’s disease and he lived at home to help his mom take care of him.
