Josh Cellars Brand Home Renamed McDowell Valley WineryJosh Cellars’ winemaking home has been renamed as McDowell Valley Winery in a tribute to one of California’s earliest AVAs. The move, handled by McDowell Valley Winery owner DFG Beverage, LLC—a legally separate entity from Josh’s parent company Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits—comes two years after DFG purchased the property, formerly named Rays Station. “The improvements underscore our long-term commitment to excellence and demonstrate our dedication to delivering the best possible products to distributors, retailers, and restaurateurs, and ultimately Josh Cellars’ legions of loyal fans,” said Wayne Donaldson, Josh Cellars’ chief winemaker and senior vice president. “The name McDowell Valley Winery brings a clearer connection to our California roots and reflects the significant role the winery plays in our business.” Deutsch’s Josh Cellars remains the top wine brand by dollar value in the U.S., with Impact Databank projecting 2% growth to 6.5 million cases for the brand (excluding Reserve and Prosecco) for 2026.
