The council has extended its latest Local Plan consultation by three weeks, following public feedback. The updated deadline is now 5pm on Friday, August 28 giving residents, businesses and community groups more time to share their views. The Local Plan sets out a long-term vision for how the borough will grow and change, shaping development and guiding planning decisions. A statement from Wirral Council read: "Although Wirral's current plan was adopted in March 2025, a revision is now required to meet updated government policy. "The extended consultation period allows more time for stakeholders to review the scoping document and submit feedback.
