BEMIDJI – Sanford Health will host a sports physical night for middle and high school students from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, at Sanford Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center, 1300 Anne St. NW.
Student-athletes are required to get an annual sports physical when participating in school-sanctioned sports and must have their physicals completed before the first day of practice for their sport, a release said.
If unable to attend a sports physical event, families may also request to schedule an appointment with their primary care provider for their young athlete's annual sports physical or well-child exam.
A child wellness exam is billed to your insurance and includes a comprehensive evaluation, immunizations, family history review and sports physical requirements.
Parents are encouraged to check with their insurance provider, as many pay 100% for a wellness exam.
