The monsoon moisture from our southeast is moving in and will make for a bit of a muggy afternoon in the interior valleys. Heat over the weekend will increase for the interiors. There is a high heat warning in place for the Cuyama Valley through 8 p.m. Sunday as well as a heat advisory for the farther interior communities through Sunday evening. Next week we will see a new pattern emerge as onshore winds kick in and cooler marine air extends into the interior valleys. For us, that will mean temps fall below normal for this time of the year, even for the interior valleys.
