Operation Flavius – Gibraltar Shootings (1988)In March 1988, the SAS carried out Operation Flavius in Gibraltar, shooting dead three IRA members believed to be preparing a car-bomb attack.
Operation Trent – Afghanistan Opium Plant Raid (2001)In late 2001, the SAS mounted Operation Trent, a large-scale raid against a Taliban and al-Qaeda-linked opium processing facility in southern Afghanistan.
