The Amp, located at The Courtyard on Edgar Street, is a temporary Big Top designed to expand the arts centre beyond its usual 400-seat theatre. It aims to bring larger touring music, comedy, theatre, and family entertainment productions to the county. The venue will open on August 7, running through the summer with a programme set to end on September 3. While The Courtyard's main building will remain open, its main house will not stage events during the Amp period. Longer-term plans may also explore establishing a more permanent large-scale venue in Hereford.
