North Herefordshire's team of West Mercia Police officers said the extensive operation in Tenbury and Burford also involved officers from Worcestershire and Shropshire. Police quickly coordinated a response after the reports of a missing child came in, with officers carrying out "extensive enquiries and searches across the market town and surrounding area". According to North Herefordshire Police, resources were rapidly deployed as officers worked together to locate the child as quickly as possible. In a post as part of its weekly Bromyard policing round-up, North Herefordshire Police praised the teamwork between the different divisions involved. "A great example of cross-border policing working together to achieve a positive outcome," a spokesperson said, but did not release any further details about the incident.
