Judo champion Chris Hunt Skelley MBE, who represented Great Britain during his sporting career, joins the Hereford-based Loo of the Year Awards as part of their ongoing mission to promote inclusion, accessibility, and high standards in washroom provision.
Mr Hunt Skelley, who won bronze in Paris before retiring in early 2025, first connected with the organisation in January when he delivered a keynote speech at the awards ceremony.
Becky Wall BEM, managing director of the Loo of the Year Awards, said: "From the moment Chris joined us as our keynote speaker, it was clear that we shared many of the same values.
"Becoming an ambassador felt like a natural next step and we're delighted to welcome him as part of the team."
Beyond his sporting achievements, Mr Hunt Skelley also lives with coeliac disease, giving him a personal understanding of the need for accessible and hygienic washrooms.
