The unusual sight was spotted on Hinton Crescent, off Hinton Road near Bishop's Meadow, where contractors were laying a new road surface as part of Herefordshire Council's ongoing highways improvement programme. Photos from the scene on Friday (August 7) show fresh tarmac laid around the silver Toyota, which had been parked over a speed bump, leaving a visible chunk of old surface. Drivers had been warned about the resurfacing work in advance and were asked to move cars from the street to allow crews to complete the job.
