West Mercia Police's Hereford City Southside and Rural Safer Neighbourhood Team said it had received a number of reports of tools being stolen from vehicles since August 4. Then, two days later, other crimes were reported in Kenilworth Close, Rosedale Close, Dorchester Way, and Grantham Close, all around Belmont. Officers are carrying out enquiries in the affected areas and are urging residents to check any CCTV, doorbell camera, or dashcam footage which could help identify those responsible. He also urged van owners to take extra precautions, including removing tools overnight where possible, ensuring vehicles are locked, installing additional security measures, and parking in well-lit locations. PCSO Thomas added: "Even the smallest piece of information could help identify those responsible and prevent further offences."
