Kerala Government to design robust mechanism for Bevco liquor bottle return scheme

A more robust, efficient system is expected to be considered after the busy Onam season to ensure long-term environmental and social benefits.
The recycling deposit scheme was initiated last year as a pilot program across 20 Bevco branches located in Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur.

At present, the Clean Kerala Mission is collecting and removing these plastic bottles.
Earlier on Friday, the minister presided over a conference at Bevco headquarters to review operations at the state-run liquor retailer and outline future strategies.
