Around 32,800 applicants have been admitted to higher education institutions in Kyrgyzstan following four rounds of the admissions campaign. According to the automated information system Abiturient Online, as of August 7, 26,000 applicants, or 79.4 percent, were admitted on a fee-paying basis. During the four rounds of the summer admissions campaign, applicants registered a total of 75,300 electronic admission vouchers for Kyrgyzstan’s higher education institutions. Overall, universities plan to enroll 66,000 students, including 9,600 on state-funded places and 56,700 on a fee-paying basis. The fifth and final round of the admissions campaign will begin on August 10.
