President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held a meeting today, August 7, in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region, with the heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to attend a regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. The meeting was attended by Kyrgyz Cabinet Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, as well as Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, who participated as a representative of an EAEU observer state, and Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintaev. In his welcoming remarks, the president stressed that Kyrgyzstan views the EAEU as an important platform for developing equal and mutually beneficial partnerships, deepening economic integration, and implementing joint projects. Sadyr Japarov noted that the next Eurasian Economic Forum will be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2027 as part of the country’s chairmanship of the EAEU bodies. The president placed particular emphasis on the need to step up joint industrial and agro-industrial cooperation projects and ensure equal access for all EAEU member states to existing support and financing mechanisms.
