Declaration of Independence coming to Foxcroft AcademyDOVER-FOXCROFT — As part of the nation’s 250th anniversary, the Maine Historical Society is providing everyone with the opportunity to view one of the nation’s most important documents.
The organization will be stewarding one of 26 surviving copies of the Dunlap Broadside of the Declaration of Independence printed in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776, and sent to the Colonies to announce American independence.

Starting Thursday, Sept. 3, the Jim Robinson Field House at Foxcroft Academy will become the home of the Dunlap Broadside Declaration of Independence.
