August 7, 2026 Restaurant/Bar NewsFriedmans and its Japanese concept, Suram, are getting ready to open — Suram perhaps as early as next week, August 13 — at 378 Greenwich at North Moore. Friedmans will be open somewhere between August 25 and September 3. The corner will be the Friedmans we know from the Goldman breezeway and the spot next door will be Suram Sushi + Ramen, which serves sushi, ramen and udon. The first Suram opened in 2023 on 60th and West End Avenue; they now have three locations in Manhattan along with a private events spaces in Hudson Yards and Herald Square. Phillips’ family opened the first Friedmans in 2009 in the Chelsea Market.
