PPC said the agreement also brings two established local development platforms and their experienced teams into the group, strengthening its ability to originate, permit, build and operate renewable energy projects in both countries. He said the acquisition, together with recent agreements involving EDP Renewables and Greenvolt, will form the core of PPC’s international renewables platform in the region through 2030. Under its long-term strategy, PPC aims to nearly double its installed generation capacity to 24.3 GW by 2030 from 12.4 GW in 2025. The plan calls for average annual additions of 2.4 GW, primarily from renewable energy, flexible generation and energy storage. PPC is increasingly positioning itself as a regional energy player by combining acquisitions with greenfield investments while continuing to modernize its domestic generation portfolio.
