KAWARTHAS-Peterborough County OPP officers made an arrest after an individual was identified as a shoplifting suspect in Havelock. The store employee attempted to speak with the accused about what had been seen, but the accusations were denied according to police. Officers were able to identify the accused and attended an address in Havelock where they were located and arrested. A 30-year-old from Havelock was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on September 15, 2026, in Peterborough.
