Cadiz City Council met in special session early Friday morning, moving on three time-critical items for the municipality. + They began the request for proposal process for water meter bids, which will eventually lead to the replacement of more than 2,200 inside the community. It is this, and other monies, that will assist with what officials hope is a successful RFP for water meters. Councilman Todd Wallace, Councilwoman Brenda Price, Councilman Craig Stallons, Councilwoman Susie Hendricks and Mayor Todd King voiced strong support for the measure. City of Cadiz will seek water meter bids throughout the rest of August, with an update expected at the September meeting.
