Coroner Scott Daniel confirmed Paige’s death at his home after he was notified by Hopkinsville Police officers who were conducting a welfare check around 8:00 Friday morning. Daniel told YourNewsEdge that the circumstances concerning Paige’s death are still under investigation. ‘Birddog’ was a beloved community member known for barking at passing cars and riding a lawn mower through town. Daniel told YourNewsEdge he had already received inquiries from people in at least five other states asking if Friday’s news was indeed true. Paige’s funeral arrangements are being handled by King’s Funeral Home.
