Life is different for the families of law enforcement officers. Finally, imagine all that militant hate, force, and resources brought to bear on a handful of individual people who happen to be patriotic immigration officers. Now you understand why U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and other federal immigration law enforcement agents hide their identities when they're working. Citizens should be able to tell at a glance that the armed militants detaining people are in fact law officers and not random thugs, kidnappers, or rival gang members.
