August 8, 1931 — August 6, 2026Ethel Elizabeth Smith Krist passed away peacefully at her home in Moab, Utah, on August 6, 2026, at the age of 94, surrounded by family. Ethel was born in Kremling, Colorado, on August 8, 1931, to Earl Smith and Gladys Smith. She is survived by her son, Ron Krist (Shannon) of La Sal, Utah; her daughter, Joan Wilcox (Mike) of Lisbon Valley, Utah; her son Roy Krist (Denia) of San Tan Valley, Arizona; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren. Ethel is preceded in death by her husband, John Krist; her son, Rod Krist; and her daughter, Jill Krist Guynn. Funeral services will be held at the Moab Baptist Church (356 Kane Creek Blvd, Moab) on August 11, 2026, at 10:00 am.
