Ministry of Works and Transport is testing a new digital module that will tighten the acquisition of driving permits for anyone intending to use Uganda’s roads with a motorised vehicle. The system, according to Commissioner for Transport Regulation and Safety Winstone Katushabe, will link all licensed driving schools directly to the ministry’s data centre to ensure every learner completes the mandatory training before qualifying for a driving permit.
