The ministry of water and environment together with NEMA have revised the approach of relocating wetland encroachers across the country, according to two ministries, abrupt demolition will not solve the recurring illegalities which have even seen some victim’s loose property. The ministry says demarcating wetlands will now create room for victims to negotiate and have voluntary vacations. The ministry spent the day yesterday in Entebbe at Namiro swamp demarcating the swamp and engaging municipal council leaders to agree on when the victims should lave the contested land where over 200 families are affected.
