Samsung, just a few days after opening preorders for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, announced that the new foldables had achieved record-breaking preorder numbers. According to popular tipster Ice Universe on X, Samsung is estimated to have received between 4.7 million and 5.2 million preorders for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. Of those, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 alone is said to account for around 2.9 million units, representing roughly 59% of total Galaxy Z Fold 8 series preorders. If accurate, these would be the highest preorder figures ever for Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold lineup. The demand for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8 has reportedly been so strong across multiple markets, including South Korea, that Samsung is struggling to keep up.
