Village president Dick Samples says the budget stretches from May 1st through April 30th next year. He says the budget runs about 3-percent higher than a year ago, and he praised department heads for holding the line. Christina Butler turned in her resignation last night, effective August 1st. She says a promotion in her job prevents her from making the commitment to the village board that comes with being a trustee.
