Stables to be turned into flats as plans approved

Watford Observer | News
Melbury Stables in Bushey's Hilfield Lane South will now become five new properties following a decision this week from Hertsmere Borough Council.
Until 2008, the site was used for stables and a barn before being converted into the current offices.
"It is considered that this entirely overcomes the concerns as expressed in the reason for the refusal of the original request."
Explaining the reasons for approval, an officers' report says that the revised application "allows for an increased level of connectivity from the nearby public highway to the application site".
The site is comprised of two single-storey office buildings that will be repurposed to create two studio flats and three one-bedroom flats suitable for two people.
