Mosiac artist J Muzacz pitched the new show Texture & Time to Georgetown Art Center about a year ago, and in the months since, he started to rethink his original idea for the exhibit. “I realized and I wanted to make a whole entire show a series with 100% reclaimed materials,” he says. In addition to the tile, Muzacz says he had another collection around the house that he could put to use. For the Texture & Time series, Muzacz wanted to embrace a more instinctive flow to his creative process. When we spoke, Muzacz was still creating the works for Texture & Time, but he anticipated having 20 or so pieces on display for the show.
