Analysis by Property Solvers, based on 3,296 house sales, compared listed prices on major property portals with actual sale prices recorded by HM Land Registry. Sellers there trimmed an average of £14,384—2.66 per cent—off initial asking prices. Nearby, the WA15 and WA14 postcodes in Altrincham also saw substantial reductions, with average drops of £13,499 (2.58 per cent) and £13,191 (3.02 per cent) respectively. Lymm (WA13) sellers accepted £11,880 less on average, while those in WA6 (Frodsham) and WA4 (South Warrington) dropped prices by £11,479 and £11,347, respectively.
