Retired solicitor Claire Baker, who lives in Lymm, will release Family Matters on August 28, set in 1980s Manchester and following the story of 24-year-old trainee solicitor Clodagh McNamara. Ms Baker said: "Most of the novel’s action takes place on or near to sites along the 41-bus route. As she begins to find support from her elderly neighbours - who become her chosen family - Clodagh starts to believe she can find her own path. Ms Baker said she also wanted to reflect a broader generational experience. Ms Baker, who grew up in Manchester, now leads a quieter life in Cheshire.
