Beccles Carnival organisers said the route change will make it an even more enjoyable experience for people of all ages by avoiding on-coming traffic on Sunday, August 16. The parade will assemble on the first field on the left of Alan Hutchinson Way, home to Beccles Rugby Club, and along Alan Hutchinson Way itself. A statement from the carnival said: “We are truly grateful for the support Beccles Rugby Club has given us in allowing the parade to start from their location. "The carnival parade used to begin at Beccles Common many years ago, so it feels fitting to return close to its roots.
