President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Musa Nimrod, has commended the standard of play and organisation of the just-concluded first phase of the 2025 CGC Volleyball Premier League, which ended on Thursday in Abuja, describing it as challenging but very rewarding. Nimrod, while acknowledging the standard of the League and the quality displayed by the players, said Nigeria is now a force to be reckoned with and is attracting global attention. He said, “I’m really happy because these are young players, no more over-aged players. A lot of countries are looking at them, and scouts are already coming to pick our players. At the end of the first phase, CNS Spikers led the men’s table with 29 points, followed by Nigeria Customs (25), NSCDC (25) and COAS (23).
