Los Angeles' long spell of hot weather will continue into the weekend with high temperatures reaching triple digits for inland Southern California. Expect the weekend heat to peak on Saturday with near- to above-normal temperatures inland. "As we head through the weekend, temperatures are going to get even hotter," said NBCLA meteorologist Belen De Leon. An extreme heat warning will be in effect until 8 p.m. Sunday in the Antelope Valley and Antelope Valley foothills, where temperatures could reach 110 degrees. By late next week, temperatures will run below normal after a stretch of above-normal highs.
