Iyiola Omisore, former National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has joined the 2026 governorship race in Osun State. Omisore made his intention known in a post on his official X handle, on Saturday. “I believe strongly that together, we can restore hope, strengthen governance, and deliver a brighter future for every son and daughter of Osun. I humbly invite you to join me as we take this bold step towards the Osun Rescue Mission 2026.”Omisore, a former Deputy Governor of Osun, contested against Rauf Aregbesola, in 2014, but lost. Like Omisore, Jonathan also lost the 2015 election.
