Think Wild, Central Oregon’s wildlife rescue and rehabilitation nonprofit, regularly treats animals suspected of having been poisoned by rodenticide. Executive director Sally Compton has said, “We are very concerned about the use of rodenticides in Central Oregon.” The outdoor pets of Central Oregon share the same food chain as hawks, eagles, and owls. Our tri-county area should fund systematic necropsies of raptors found dead in Central Oregon and support Think Wild’s capacity to do that work.
